My Art Friend and I went to Hamilton yesterday to view the Bold Horizon National Contemporary Award at the Waikato Museum.
We only went for the day because we had been told that accomodation in Hamilton sucked.
On the drive out I spotted this Motel and it all rang true.

If you ever get bored of watching TV, you tube or porn check out NZ On Screen.
They have just released the National Film Unit collection and there is some fantastic stuff.
I really like Games 74 a documentary about the Commonwealth Games when they were held in New Zealand.
My favourite however is a documentary called Dustie.
It is about the working lives of Wellingtons rubbish collectors and has a real Ans Westra quality to it. |

Gavin Hurley opened last evening at Anna Bibby.
It was a lovely show, nice hanging and it was great to see lots of red dots.
Gavins work is always pleasing. I marvel at his technical ability.
He would have made a great surgeon with scalpel skills such as his.
He always selects a nice frame and is a very nice chap as well. |
